Announced in January, Dojo Offline Toolkit is one of those projects that immediately fascinated me: a visionary and pragmatic, DOT responds to a real problem (the web offline) with excellent solutions. I also explained the DOT in a previous post .
The indefatigable Brad Neuberg has released a first beta yesterday. I personally would call the alpha version as there are still problems to solve:
- only platforms MacOS X and Windows (except Vista) are supported to date
- many bugs remain to be solved
- layer by Persits Javascript needs to become more independent Dojo
Despite all this, we must salute the performance and do not hesitate to start the tests (and report bugs) on this technology under the BSD license and frankly very promising.
