3D, web and javascript
3D on the web is a dream that seems to be pushed every day
- VRML has never really taken
- X3D his designated successor, does not really seem to take over
- no alternative No has really emerged
Once again, hackers have javascript turned up the sleeves to achieve a solution Using the new HTML tag "canvas " (unfortunately unknown to our friends at Microsoft) ... and to my surprise, it works! At least occasionally.
few examples, because it is still worth a look:
- a demo of a rendering engine (which does what it can)
- a 3D game (unplayable)
- a demo car forward a route unlikely
Well, until all this progress, Flash and WPF at the moment seem the most reasonable alternative ... unless you have a better idea?
